The night falls from the sky, The moon a ghostly pale eye....
Tanith was lost in thought. Not those simple thoughts about what to hunt today, or where to patrol. No, this was a much deeper matter. The white vixen didn't show it on the outside. After all, why would a strong fox show weakness in that form? It was stupid after all. Yes. Quite. But no, Tani had the complete worry of her tribe to contend with. She refused to show the horror that was coming to pass in herself. And she had not picked a deputy yet.
That was her plight. She had no idea what fox would be right for the job, and time seemed to be running out. Which was why the chief had gone for a trek over the hills. To be alone trying to gather her thoughts. To prepare for what was going to come. And she needed to find one fast. Very fast. Time was almost like the sand that covered her territory so beautifully. She sighed. The intricitally woven clouds that wove their way lazily through the sky went unnoticed by Tani.
Until the scent of another entered her space...
....Listens for the sound of a crying soul, Listens for a heart that starts to die.

Rosenrot was extremely disappointed by the disappearance of the beautiful vixen he had met earlier, Fyn. Her amethyst eyes still glinted in his consciousness, flickering like a faraway candle. Here he had thought that perhaps he had a chance with a vixen and perhaps his shyness had been overcome. But it was not the case, he thought bitterly, shaking his head.
The scent of another fox tickled his nose. It was a vixen. What was it today? A vixen gathering? He blinked in disbelief and hid behind some tall grass in an attempt to scope out the other fox. The white pelt stood out in bold contrast with the emerald expanse of green. Picking up his token satin rose in his mouth, Rosenrot made his way over to the vixen, stepping gingerly on the spring flowers.
Despite the disappointment with the previous vixen, Rosenrot felt that his confidence had been bolstered. He didn't know what this vixen wanted, but perhaps he could take away a boost to his self-esteem.

Again apologies. Just finished my last examination. I ish FREE for three months!!!!!!!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA!!!!!!!!!....Sorry about that just there. Don't know what came over me xD
Blink. Pause. Turn. Quick. Halt. Quick inspection of the air. Todd. Didn't seem to have a tribe on him, but Tani wasn't entirely sure. After all, she hadn't been to many tribe lands. Kept herself to herself, as usual. The white pelt bristled slightly, as always when a stranger came into her midst. A precaution she had always told herself. You could never be too careful, even though Tani always took risks. Tani. It had been a long time since she had been called that. A very long time actually. The last fox that had called her Tani was her brother, long dead. A lump formed in the vixen's throat as the memory of her cheeky brother's face rose vividly in her mind. The hunter had taken away her best friend. And Tani was never one to forgive and forget. Ever.
After what seemed a life time, the todd revealed himself. He was actually quite a handsome fox in Tanith's ranks, and if it weren't for her current state of exasperation, she may have actually noticed that. But for now, Tani saw a small nuisance that was not needed at this time. Still, maybe he could be useful and join her meager tribe. Old memories that were thought to be forgotten, and a heavy secret to bear had coupled to make the vixen annoyed and snappish. Bad time for a conversation. Sighing heavily, she turned her head to face the stranger head on, and decided to give him her undivided attention for ten minutes. If he had not convinced her that he was worth her time, then she could just leave him.
That was what faced a fox that caught Tani on her bad days. But no matter. As much as the white fox was annoyed at seeing or meeting another on these days, she had to admit to herself she was slightly curious as to why a lone todd was wandering around the hills. Of course, it was a free land, but still. She assumed that perhaps he was here for almost the same reason as her, though she doubted it. He didn't have to worry about deputies. He didn't have to worry about a stupid disease. Oops, shouldn't have spilt that out. Oh well. A sharp bark rose into Tani's throat and she growled at the newcomer. "Well greetings to you, hello, buenos dias, blahdiblah. You get what I'm trying to say to you, right?" A tiny smile. Wait, backtrack. A smile was cracked on a bad day? Well then, maybe the day wasn't such a bad one.

Rosenrot was immediately taken aback by the vixen's harsh tone and his brush fell, his carefully built façade of confidence shattered. He blinked at the blazing white belt, which was dazzling in the bright sunlight. "Me? I am a wanderer, wandering—er— I'm searching for my muse, as it were," he said, stumbling on his words and accidentally tearing several petals of the rose. This vixen was off-putting and he wished to get away from her as soon as she had finished her business with him.
